Educational Development Corp. is the U.S. trade publisher of the line of educational children's books produced in the United Kingdom by Usborne Publishing Ltd. It operates through the following segments: EDC Publishing and Usborne Books and More. The EDC Publishing segment markets its products to retail accounts, which include book, toy and gift stores, school supply stores and museums, through commissioned sales representatives, trade and specialty wholesalers and an internal telesales group. The Usborne Books and More segment sells its product line through a nationwide network of independent sales consultants using a combination of direct sales, home shows and book fairs. The company was founded on August 23, 1965 and is headquartered in Tulsa, OK.
