OSI Systems, Inc. is an integrated designer and manufacturer of specialized electronic systems and components for critical applications. The firm sells its products and provides services in diversified markets, including homeland security, healthcare, defense and aerospace. It operates through the following segments: Security, Healthcare, Optoelectronics and Manufacturing, and Corporate. The Security segment focuses on security, and inspection systems. The Healthcare segment consists of medical monitoring, and anesthesia systems. The Optoelectronics and Manufacturing segment includes optoelectronic devices. The Corporate segment comprises of executive compensation, and certain other general and administrative expenses. The company was founded by Deepak Chopra in May 1987 and is headquartered in Hawthorne, CA.
